This smoothie is delicious, don't let the looks put you off, it may look like something that Slimmer has cooked up with his chemistry set, but give it a go you'll be deliciously surprised.
There's no added sugar, the sweetness comes from the apples, with the lemon juice bringing all kinds of health benefits to the party plus a tart cider twist, we threw in some turmeric for good measure (hence the odd colour), and then turned it into another winter warmer by heating it on the stove for a couple of minutes after having blended it to oblivion — even though we heated, it's delicious warmed in winter or chilled in summer. If you wanted to pack some extra nutrients in there, you could add 1/2 or 1/4 teaspoon of Spirulina.
Even if it's looks are deceiving us — lets not judge a book by its cover, give it a go and let us know what you think.
