If you love fruit, trail mix and/or dried fruit, you'll love these. This is a delicious alternative to cooked fruit cake plus its super quick and easy to make. And if you find yourself in a fix and need a quick solutions, they can be made with the ingredients listed or they can be subbed out for what you have left / available in the cupboard. They can be served with ice-cream or homemade custard — absolutely delicious, and mildly addictive.

Cacao (Immunomodulation)
Strengthening, balancing, supporting and regulating the immune system, optimising immune response (great for winter).
Cacao (Magnesium)
An essential mineral, absorbed in the gut and is important for energy, muscle health and bone health.
Cacao (Anandamide)
Is a fatty acid neurotransmitter. The name is taken from the Sanskrit word 'ananda', which means "joy, bliss, delight".
Cacao (Theobromine)
Similar to caffeine, it is a vasodilator, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, diuretic and can act as a stimulant. Studies suggest it aids the absorption of the polyphenols in Cacao.
Lucuma
Lucuma contains β-carotene, which gives its flesh the beautiful orange colour. β-carotene is converted into Vitamin A by the body. Vitamin A is able to enhance the immune system but also supports the health of the eyes as well as teeth and cell health (skeletal / soft tissue).
Mesquite
Mesquite powder, also know as Algarrobo, is native to Peru, Ecuador and Columbia and for centuries was a staple food for ancient South American desert dwellers. Boasting 10g protein per 100g, studies* suggest it can also help balance blood sugar levels.
